  • Click Technical Support utilities
  • Select sage advisor diagnostic tool
  • Click Agree on license Agreement
  • Click the box in the run column beside Company location check and the product INI files check
  • Click on Run selected tests
  • You will get the results in results display box.
  • Make note of the path for any recently opened companies
  • Close the sage advisor diagnostic tool
  • Search the.INI file
  • Double click on the file to open it
  • Change the directory in Datapath= line to reflect the correct path
  • Click file
  • Select save
  • Close the.INI file
  • Open sage 50 and check if problem still occurs or not

Soluton 4: verify security settings on the server or host machine

  • Verify that you are able to browse to the datapath location on the server hosting the data
  • If required, disable password protected sharing

Solution 5: verify installed version on both server and workstation

  • Select Help, about sage 50 to check the version of the program. Check the same on workstation and server both locations, if versions do not match upgrade the computer which has a lower version.
